Nick Cannon drops millions on a spacious suburban Los Angeles estate, giving the children a larger place to play than the old mansion
.
Hidden away in the San Fernando Valley’s prototypically suburban Woodland Hills enclave, the all-white home is situated behind gates on a corner lot in the desirable Walnut Acres neighborhood pocket. The residence is surrounded by walls and gates and features a pea gravel motorcourt that can accommodate up to four vehicles. Inconspicuously tucked away from the primary entrance, the residence also features a two-car garage and ample street parking.
According to tax records and listing information, the residence comprises approximately 4,400 square feet of living space, five bedrooms, and 4.5 restrooms. Even though that is relatively spacious, Cannon and his family will undoubtedly find it cramped, as the renowned San Diego native is the parent of eleven small children with six different women. The predominantly single-story residence, described in the listing as a “contemporary entertainers’ estate,” features an airy, open floorplan that is quintessentially Southern California in its ability to blend the interior and outdoor living areas. Complementing the long, gallery-like expanses of white walls, blonde and faux-distressed hardwood flooring impart a contemporary farmhouse ambiance. The residence features several notable features, including a mantle-free, minimalist fireplace in the living room, a “music room,” a formal dining room, and an open kitchen equipped with top-of-the-line appliances and a 60-foot center island. Bifolding glass doors extend beyond the island to a concrete patio that encircles a rectangular swimming pool. Two bathrooms are shared by three guest chambers, in addition to a bonus bedroom suite featuring a private entrance. The opulent master suite features a private office, a sizable closet, a spa-style bathroom, a fireplace, and vaulted ceilings. The expansive backyard, which features grassy meadows for play, a fully equipped outdoor kitchen, native landscaping, and a built-in banquette adjacent to a fire pit, is visible from the balcony. The newly acquired Woodland Hills property is Cannon’s only known residence in the Los Angeles area. His grandparents are known to reside in a suburban tract home in the city of Temecula, approximately two hours southeast of Los Angeles, according to property records. Additionally, the former host of Wild ‘n Out has long been the owner of a multimillion-dollar, six-bedroom residence in Saddle River, a prosperous New Jersey city.
Cannon and Mariah Carey, with whom he was married for a period of eight years, maintained an opulent residence situated in the upper echelons of the Bel Air neighborhood in Los Angeles. The aforementioned tennis court estate, which the ex-spouses had purchased for $7 million in 2009, was sold during their divorce in 2015 for $9 million to its present proprietors, a local dentist and his cardiologist spouse.
