Serena Williams made one more appearance at the Olympic tennis competitions. She was there to witness Spain’s Carlos Alcaraz and Serbia’s Novak Djokovic compete for the gold medal, though.

The 42-year-old Golden Slam winner was absorbed in the Men’s Singles Tournament championship match at these Olympics. With her blonde curls down, she looked striking with her black letterman’s jacket, tank top, jeans, and shades.

With his victory, Dkokovic joins Rafael Nadal, Serena Williams, Andre Agassi, and Steffi Graf as the only five tennis players in history to win the Golden Slam in singles play.

The match was a rematch of the 2024 Wimbledon final, in which Novak won the men’s singles championship at Stade Roland-Garros on Sunday afternoon, defeating his opponent 7-6 7-6. By doing this, he won Serbia’s second gold medal in Paris and its eighth overall throughout its independence. Djokovic said that winning the Olympic gold medal on his fifth try is “arguably the greatest” accomplishment of his illustrious career.

Serena was engrossed in the match and displayed a variety of emotions as it came to a close. The native of Compton, California was seen conversing with IOC President Thomas Bach during the match. In the meantime, rapper Flavor Flav, 65, and Serena’s 41-year-old husband Alexis Ohanian have teamed together to sponsor one additional Olympic athlete. Track and field discus thrower Veronica Fraley, a member of the U.S. squad, tweeted on X (previously Twitter) the night before her event that she was unable to pay her rent, and both guys jumped in to help.

“My school only sent about 75% of my rent; I compete in the Olympic Games tomorrow, and I can’t even pay my rent. Football players, who haven’t won anything, get paid enough to buy new cars and houses.” the woman revealed.

Meanwhile, Serena’s husband Alexis Ohanian, 41, recently joined forces with rapper Flavor Flav, 65, to support another Olympic competitor 

Wasting little time, hip-hop legend Flavor Fav stepped in to help put the discus throwers mind at ease so she can focus on the task at hand.

Less than 10 minutes later, Ohanian, the co-founder of Reddit, jumped into the conversation and offered his assistance.

‘C’mon now! I’ll split it with @flavorfav,’ the businessman replied.

Less than two hours later, Ohanian took back to X and wrote, ‘Update! It is done,’ he simply wrote in a post, along with another message saying Fraley was paid out $7,760.
