After her dad Alexis Ohanian announced that she has become an owner of the newly launched LA Golf Club, Olympia Ohanian has made history as the “youngest two-team owner in professional sports.” This achievement comes on the heels of her existing ownership stake in the Angel City Football Club.
In his latest Instagram post, Alexis Ohanian shared, “Announcing my fellow co-owner of @wearelagc… @olympiaohanian! Olympia is the youngest owner in professional sports (@weareangelcity) and is now the youngest two-team owner in professional sports. She’ll be joined by her future sibling.”
Meanwhile, Serena Williams has made it clear that she is “100% not evolving into golf.” Recently, she filmed a commercial for golf that she found enjoyable, particularly because it promotes gender equality. However, she emphasized her commitment to tennis and her plans for the future. “It’s hard to say. I would say no. For now, no. I’ve literally given my whole life to tennis, and it’s time for me to give my life to something else,” she stated.
Williams also praised the commercial’s focus on gender equity, noting that it reflects a commitment to treating female and male athletes equally. “What I love is they really believe in gender equality and gender equity when it comes to male and female, particularly women athletes and men athletes,” she added in her conversation with Gayle King on CBS Mornings.
